Vet Space can guide you through the process of filing your initial claim for disability benefits.

Veterans who served on active duty, active duty for training, or inactive duty training are eligible to file disability claims.

Veterans may file claims for illnesses and injuries that occurred during military service, along with illnesses and injuries that occurred before joining the military, but were worsened during military service.

To increase the likelihood of receiving all of the disability benefits earned, veterans filing claims themselves are encouraged to file a fully developed claim by providing supporting documents.

These documents can include medical records, military personnel records, along with letters from family and friends or the likes of clergy and law enforcement.

The VA website includes information to help you file a fully developed claim yourself.
